Recital in Orléans

I always enjoy coming down to the Loire Valley region.  Just 100km south of Paris, it is usually warmer, greener, and a lot less crowded.

People from Orléans (Orléansiennes??) are quite artistic too.  There was a sculptor in my audience who also dances a beautiful tango.  While we were having an after-concert drink, she started dancing and oh so gracefully, I think she totally upstaged me.  We had a good chat about music too: I was playing some obscure French works by Louis Aubert which sounded a lot like Debussy and Ravel and the audience were quite taken by it.

It was also the first time I performed on a Kawai concert grand. Not bad!
