Girl Power II - Germaine Tailleferre
The history of classical music is often a male-dominated story. Women contributors are often neglected. There is one French woman composer whose music I lust after but hardly hear them in concert - Germaine Tailleferre. She was actually rather famous, having built her fame around figures such as Poulenc and associated herself with Jean Cocteau, among others. She wrote a ton of piano music, mostly miniatures, as well as two gorgeous Valses for 2-piano (below left).
