An American piano maker? Yes, an American piano maker.

Though century-and-a-half old, few pianists outside USA play on Mason & Hamlin pianos - that is, until recently. The company has revamped its image and production, and I am proud to be one of the first to perform on the only Mason & Hamlin concert grands in Spain in 2011.

The tone is rich, while the bass is thick yet supple, never too overwhelming. The middle register and the treble are very well balanced, giving a good singing tone that carries well across the hall. The action is a breeze to play on, and at no point did I have to struggle or fight hard to get what I want.
