Girl Power - Magda Tagliaferro

Madga Tagliaferro (1893-1986) has got to be one of the most
praised and acclaimed dame on the piano during the Golden Age. Student of Alfred Cortot, she bore proudly the banner of romantic tradition. Her countless recordings have followed her career in revealing the vitality of a magnetic personally, meticulous craftsmanship in her playing, and above all her monumental sincerity and honesty in the music she interprets, from Debussy to Chabrier to Villa-Lobos.

Here is a rare French press LP in the Erato label of her interpretations on some of the major figures of French music. Sadly, some of these music have long fell out of public's taste, such as those of Chabrier, Séverac, and Hahn.  I think I found this record in Vienna.
